I've noticed it hasn't been raining much since I came here two weeks ago, so maybe it's been a lot drier than normal in Reading as well.
What are you doing in Reading? The meteorology course there is one of the best in the world.
This is the month so far in London, probably hasn't been that much different in Reading. Very dry and cloudier than normal. Temps about average, with cooler days and milder nights. http://www.meteociel.fr/climatologie....php?code=3772
The coldest temperature in the Midwest USA from last week's cold snap was -56F in Cotton, MN. Twice!
Cotton might be colder than Embarrass now, it has seen colder temperatures this winter at least.
Bene much drier than average here, with 27mm below average precipitation (32.7mm to date).
