Who says the Philippines is always hot in the lowlands and that you have to head up mountains to cool off? This just happened two weeks ago in this northern island town called Itbayat, in Batanes province (our northernmost province)! The high on Jan 13th was just 14.3C (roughly 58F) - which may feel a bit colder due to the presence of the northeast monsoon (which hits the area very directly, with gale force winds not being unusual this time of year there)! Even mountain towns like Baguio don't get a daytime high that low! I hope they can share some of that with the rest of the country!
