Was January 2017 the coldest month on record for Montenegro? 25 days below freezing and a low of -24.8 would be much colder than normal here and my average temperature (-3/-12) is much lower than Montenegro.

Also I tried to find the Ojmjakon weather from February 2002 that was posted earlier. I couldn't find the same graph, but Ogimet doesn't have the extreme warm up mid-month. However, it has a low of -64.5C/-84F on the first followed by a high of -56.6C/-70F the next day which is extreme even for them.

Edit: It was Verkhoyansk, not Ojmjakon. Here's the data, and it does have the crazy warm-up.

January 2017 in Montenegro was the coldest January on average in Montenegro in the last 70 years.
Also it was the second coldest month on average in the last 70 years, only February 1956 was colder on average.

These are 9 coldest Januaries in some cities of Montenegro since 1949 (average mean temperature)

In Cetinje, Kolašin, Bar and Ulcinj it was the coldest since 1949, and in Žabljak was par with January 1967.

Islip Long Island NY needs 7.3" more this season to be in the Top 10 snowiest seasons and 4-6" more could be coming Tuesday.

Every year for the past 7 yrs has had a Top 15 season except 2012. Incredible.

The only time Yuma, Arizona ever recorded snowfall was December 12th, 1932 when 1.5 inches fell on the desert city. Yuma hasn't seen any snow since.

We normally go by 3/15 as the last frost date here, and most of the time we are safe after the first. Not this year. Frost all this week and tonight, too.

Sept - November 2013 Interesting stats.

I'll start....

If Bridgeport still has 10" or more snow on the ground Sunday morning it will be the longest streak on record with a consecutive snowpack that much.

2nd longest streak staying below 40°F

Today ties the record longest streak for the minimum temp staying below 26°F
Summer of 2013 was the hottest summer on record for the Valley. It was all thanks to the hottest June ever recorded. 2014 then became our warmest year on record, until 2017 managed to beat it out.

Since March 1st, Bridgeport, CT at the coast hasn't had this much snow this late in decades! (since 1996)

Since March 1st they have 20.5" of snow. 3rd most for March-April period. They need 1.6" more to break record

Note the other years in the Top 11. (2013, 2015, 2017). NUTS!

Ever, or just a one year event? Probably an island location.
