I'm studying meteorology here for the term, so I am taking advantage of their great program. (UoR and the University of Oklahoma have an exchange program)

Back in the US, it's been extremely cold in Montana.
Billings, Great Falls, Glasgow, Kalispell, Bozeman, and Havre had their second coldest February on record, Missoula had its fourth coldest, Helena had its fifth coldest, and Butte had its sixth coldest. But nowhere surpassed the extreme cold of Feb. 1936.

Bridgeport, CT past 20yrs for period of March 1st - April 4th.

The average temperature for 6 of the last 7 yrs stayed under 40°.

We used to have warmer Marchs & Aprils here. #NoMoreSpring

Those drops in 2014 & 2015 were interesting back to back. Possible the 1st signs of this colder trend for March/April?

Interesting. Max temps for April.

1. Note the interesting trend DOWN since the early 2000s. We aren't hitting those crazy hot temps in April as much anymore.

2. 10 days left. If they stay at 69° as the max, its the 7th coldest max for April.

3. It would be the coldest April max since 1998 when it never past 66° that April

The 70°F max temperature in Bridgeport so far this year was almost a record.

Only 2 other years hadn't passed 70° by now. Trending down since early 2000s

In other words, usually we would of hit mid 70s by now. #Late

Interesting statistic: no overnight lows in double figures (10.0°C or higher) yet this year here. Still waiting. It normally happens in April.

Oklahoma is having its coldest start to a year since 1993, and its second wettest start to a year on record.

Also, Oklahoma City has had more rain so far in 2019 than they had in all of 2016.
