I have always stated that each area has its own mission and everything is texturized according to. The problem with this area is that it wants to do too many things at one time and has no true identity because it is constantly building. It wants to boom, it wants to be on par, it wants to cater to the cola of the area, of which 4 of the near counties are the richest in the US.

But when people of normal class and social status complain that THEY are not being catered to, they are yelled at and told to go away. High cost of living areas can't provide entertainment for normal working class folks. You won't find non-gamblers traveling during holiday or summer vacation to the MGM NH as they do other entertainment landmarks beyond expensive restaurants and a casino.

But here is the problem- this area prides itself on a lot of hype and projects itself as if it is all "inclusive". It is not until when regular folk give their own reviews, do we understand the big picture.

Just take a look at the majority of reviews by dedicated gamblers and online reviewers of the NH and MGM, you will see that the cost is the #1 issue. Lack of entertainment value beyond eateries is a close 2nd. Btw, shopping at high-end brand name shops is not of entertainment value and shouldn't really mix with places like NH.

I don't care about entertainment value. I can find entertainment with a library card or cafe or in my own garage. What would impact me more is a damn Trader Joe's/Whole Foods/Wegman's close by. Down with Safeway! Viva la Revolucion!

It appears that the builders of NH wants this place to be an International Destination such as Cancun, Vancouver, Amsterdam, etc. where they don't have to rely on the resident's/locals/"normal class" incomes or complaints. People doubted the builders of NH from the beginning and look how far they came. It may be good for business, I wish I had the money to do it.

This is coming from someone who lives in FW and doesn't think highly of themselves or community....Unfortunately, the "haha gasp"/joke is on you.

"You know, the wife wanted to go to Amsterdam this year. I was all like, 'funk dat, we're going to National Harbor. They have a Casino and a Ferris Wheel!'"

You're right. I don't think highly of myself. I'm a commoner and I stay in my lane.

The community is fine, I see a lot of value in it, that's why I buy and invest and will stay here.

I can still have some common sense.

Doc Holiday: So, how's our little town suit you?

Wyatt: Fine. Fine.

Mayor: You know, I was thinking, what this town could really use is a racetrack.

Wyatt: Really? That's not a bad idea. Send a signal we're growin' up.

Doc Holiday: Way ahead of yourselves, aren't you, boys? This is just another mining camp.

Mayor: Have you seen how everyone dresses? Awful tony for a mining camp. No sir, the die is cast.
We are growin'. Be as big as San Francisco in a few years, and just as sophisticated.

I've been to Amsterdam on multiple occasions, not a great place to take a wife(unless she smoke weed and support prostitution). NH builders would like for it to be an international destination. You just sit back and enjoy the ride. I pretty sure you and the rest of the NH haters will jump on the bandwagon soon, especially if your property value goes up. Question: Are the Mayor of FW and are you proposing a racetrack there? I didn't know they had a Mayor....

NH is for people with money to burn who happen to be in town. Nobody is coming here specifically for the MGM, Forest.

Not true, the NH make a lot of money off visitors that stay at hotels/timeshare within the Harbor. This was prior to MGM...
