served what? he asked what areas can he found those things and you started off on a bunch of other stuff. But if that makes you happy being childish talking about being served, then go ahead. Do you want a medal?

Spoken like someone who got served.

I asked a question. You answered it. I refuted it and provided further analysis. Get over it.

About 3,000 to 5,000 per square mile is enough to enjoy city life while still having some breathing room.

I drive around Philadelphia and think "No wonder the crime rate is so high; these people have no space to move around in ... " No thanks.

It would be best if cities offered anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 or more ppsm generally. Having a variety within the city itself would offer people more choices.

How does your theory hold up in, say, Manhattan? Or low-density cities like New Orleans?

exactly. you don't have to packed in like sardines to enjoy city life.

It is city life, not sardine life.

And Dover, you didn't refute anything, its all in your head buddy.

You know, it doesn't take that big a man to admit to being wrong on an internet forum; it's not like this is a contest or anything. It takes even less to just slink away and move on. And yet you still can't rise to that level. It's kind of sad.

A few decades ago, maybe. But now I think all the families that want to be in the suburbs are already there. I don't think there are that many still leaving urban areas now cause there probably weren't many there to begin with.

I didn't say they are leaving, I said it accounts for the loss of number.

As in the urban areas are not as dense as they could be because the urban inhabitants are usually young singles/couples, not families of 5, 6 etc.

Its kinda reverse reasoning, the numbers are not decreasing because they are leaving, but the number is lower than it could be because of the type of residents it attracts
