So why comment on the video in the first place?
Houston is still desolate relative to it's size. It has alot of events but still desolate.

From the OMO-design: Water is so expansive in the design that a submarine was even featured in the rendering. [we are speaking about the Trinity River].

I would like to try the drugs they have.

LOLOL this reminds me of the Buffalo Bayou Master Plan (which is a lot more feasible, and is actually taking shape).

btw..

"Planner Says Plans Not Implementable

The projects, though, were not the individual focus of the evening. Instead, the night was dedicated to a panel discussion of the overarching themes of urbanism and general reaction to the proposals. Moderated by Brent Brown, the panel consisted of Larry Beasley, Robert Meckfessel, Allan Jacobs, and Peter Bishop. Each member discussed the merits of the Challenge but it was Beasley, the jury chair of the Connected City Design Challenge, who mentioned that none of the plans, as proposed, are implementable as currently rendered. He also verbally wondered if Dallas has the cojones to even pull off a project of such scope."

This project seems to be a vision with all of those buildings and towers.

agreed, the buildings in both the Dallas projects and the Buffalo Bayou master plan are just place holders for what could come once the areas are revitalized. who knows what the Dallas projects could look like if they ever get off the ground. at least they are redeveloping Buffalo Bayou Park and implementing many of the ideas from the long term Master Plan (currently focusing on completing the western side of the park). its just taking time and money to see that vision become a reality.

heres the full scope of the project. the western portion should be complete by 2015..

The plan for Dallas looks to be in it's very early stages. Buffalo Bayou is not the only bayou in Houston that is currently receiving a makeover.

Here's more of the Buffalo Bayou Plan:
