Does anyone else remember what tv station had a time slot from like 2 to 5 for kids back in the 80s? I remember The 3 Stooges, HeMan/SheRA, GI Joe, Gobots, Thundercats, Bugs Bunny (Loney Tunes)etc. Now days seems there is nothing like that. I have found some of these for my kids and they love that I leave that time for them after school.

I remember growing up most of the daily cartoons went from 3 till 6. We had Captain Gus and the Popeye show-Popeye, Looney Tunes, 3 Stooges. We had Commander X--Commando Cody, Superman, Mike Mercury and Super Car, Space Angel. Around 6 was Quick Draw Magraw, Huckleberry Hound, Magilla Gorilla. This was all Channel 5 I think. Channel 12 had BEST of HOLLYWOOD- Marx Bros, Tarzan,Bowry Boys, Laural & Hardy. Jungle Jim was on sometime around there too. In the Seventies they started showing STAR TREK two of them back to back.

I think all of them did. Now there is no need because there are cable channels that have 24x7 cartoons.

Does anybody remember a burger joint called Ringos or Johnny Ringos? There was one location around Fresno and I-10 or maybe near Hildebrant and I-10, near Chris Madrid`s, actually. Supposedly they invented the Frito Burger with refried beans and Fritos on it. I think they were open up until the late 1990's or even 2000 or so.

If so, does anyone know if the building is still standing? I remember it being pretty unique.

Ringo's has come up a few times on this thread.. do a quick search and there's even a picture I've posted of the one across from Nimitz Middle School.. There might even be more on the original GBNF thread if I recall correctly.

i know exactly where they are the commercials from the 60's were filmed at Prade Ranch just outside Lakey in Texas ive actually been there and they have a bunch of old Pearl memorabilia there like ash trays, neon signs, and old cans and stuff at the ranch. Where an old Texas highway used to drive through the river there are a bunch of springs and potholes thats where they were actually filmed

The last Ringos was on West ave & La Manda (close to fresno & I-10) and the building is still there(I think it is a mexican seafood place). It is like an east coast diner...with a sonic type drive-in on the front. This is by my grandmothers and we ate there all the time. It probably closed about 10 years ago. There was one across from Lee HS, but that was knocked down for the Stop & Go a very long time ago. And believe it or not, my other grandparents neighbors actually owned Ringos, I believe their last name was the Romells.

Yes they really did invent the Bean Burger and theirs was the best. They were also famous for their chili dogs. I also liked the way they gave you 1 onion ring with your bean burger and fries order.

The Ringo's on West Ave. opened as Romell's. The Ringo's on Jackson Keller was not in front of Lee, but across from Nimitz.

Default J.C. Penny in Terrell Plaza

It must have closed in 1988. I got my suit at that JC Penny for my confirmation in '85. I visited my parents during Spring Break '89 and the building was vacant. Not much left of the Old Terrell Plaza. Really miss Dick's Hobby Shop.

The JC Penney in Terrell Plaza actually closed in 1986. I think Dick's also closed sometime during the 1980s.
