I have read about Paul, he was a NASCAR driver on the Winston Cup back in the early 70s.

GW, the name of the restaurant sounds familiar, and if memory serves me correct, there was one of those located off of Blanco Rd and Parliament, where the present day Las Palapas location is. I recall there being a Chinese restaurant there in the late 80's, about '87 or so, but by '89-'90 there was an El Pollo Loco there. The name sounds familiar, but I could be wrong.

I think there was a Chinese Restaurant on West Ave. near the Bowling Ball factory and the railroad tracks.

That would have been Tom Ng's.. They used to have great fried chicken.. I know, strange for a Chinese place but they did.

Anyone remember the name of the restaurant where Benihana's is now. It was I believe italian but can be mistaken. They had another location off 281 passed the airport on the right hand side.

Like I said in one of my threads, I grew up a block away from the Hemisfair area and saw it built from day one. MMMM...lessee..there was Wonderland, Joske's downtown, El Capitan drive in, Towne Twin, Varsity, Mission, Circle 81 Drive ins, Texas theater, Empire,and Majestic and the Aztec before it became the Aztec 3. That's all I remember...

Do you remember the Joy theater on West Houston about a block west of Flores street?
