There is not too much that can be done at this time for those of of that have St. Augustine. Probably 75% in Westcreek. We can't afford to let it die so we will just have to limp along and keep it going. If neighbors remember to mow it tall that will help. I feel bad for those that are older and may not be able to get out to water their grass and then face it dying along, replacing it, and facing the HOA. I just hope that they understand the situations of some.
When it comes to landscaping, WC has very little diversity. The HOA should promote more xeriscaping this time around as limited water supply is more common now.

I wonder if neighbors know about the SAWS WaterSaver Landscape Rebate Program? www.saws.org
I know this is not the right time (drought and excessive heat) to re landscape our yards but it is worth considering.

my daughter said there's an accident on southbound 1604 near Potranco. She also said that thunder shook wallyworld. That was impressive.

That lighting hit CLOSE to us if not in Westcreek. Both DH and I could see a huge flash and that immediate, loud thunder. Looked like it was close to Galm (or in that direction) from our front windows.

Wherever it hit, it really shook our house. Yikes.

the lightning and thunder were pretty much at exactly the same time over here and it was really bright, so it had to be in Westcreek. I wish I would've had a video camera running because the dogs scattered like roaches. I've never seen my chow bark at thunder before, but she was ready to fight.

Yea...time for true confessions...I jumped up out of the chair myself with that one.
