The shooting was at 11:00 AM on Friday. The article states that it happened at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Messina Street, but Google's Street View doesn't match the picture shown in the article.

Looks like that photo was taken from the other end of Messina St. (corner of Glasgow), but looking towards Douglas Ave.

This is right on the Cranston (Edgewood) and Providence (Washington Park) line, and it is across the street from the main entrance of Johnson & Wales University.

Default Plainfield Street stabbing

There was a stabbing on Sunday night at approximately 10:00pm on Plainfield Street in Providence. No additional information is currently available other than the person was seriously injured.

Man stabbed in Providence

Here is an approximate Street View that matches up with the Channel 10 picture:

That's the Silver Lake neighborhood - on the edge of Olneyville. It's where Plainfield Street and Pocassett Ave meet, and very close to El Rancho Grande (permanently closed?).

Right by where this stabbing occurred in February. Being right on the border with South Providence (Washington Park), that area is prone to trouble.
