Yes. And no issues that I'm aware of.

Here is more info about the shooting on Leander Street in the Manton neighborhood.

"The police are investigating the shooting of a 31-year-old man late Friday on Leander Street.

The police were called just before midnight to 64 Leander St., where Andre Monroe, 31, told investigators that he was shot twice, once near his elbow and once in his chest, in front of his home, according to police.

Monroe stated that he had just gotten dropped off by his sister when he heard gunshots and tried to run, but lost his shoe. Monroe said he saw a black vehicle flee the area, the police said.

Monroe was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he became uncooperative with police, the police said."

What kind of bad issues are you aware of at Carroll Towers and/or the other low income senior public housing places in Providence?

I've heard multiple accounts that I'd rather not get into the details of, mostly involving younger "disabled" adults housed there and their abuse towards the elderly residents. There are some bad people that have no business being there, yet the state has nowhere else to place them and the rest suffer as a result.

I suppose it's possible it happened at one of those two duplexes, one of them does have an Altima parked in the driveway after all (for some reason that's a popular thugmobile). But the odds are still small vs. the 100(s) of units at Hillcrest.
oh brother. Last week you were telling us black SUVs were the thugmobile of choice

Seems to me both are popular among the general population. Think that might explain it?

Let's back up a little here sandsonik:

1. I did not say black SUVs were the thugmobile of choice, another poster did.

2. That poster is not wrong, it does seem to be the #1 choice for gangbangers in 2020.

3. I recently posted that Nissan Altimas were "a" popular thugmobile, which also happens to be true. They were popular back in the late 90s and 2000s, now most of them are held together by bandaids. They still seem to be a thing among low level thugs and are quite ghetto, however most of the big 'bangers today go for the dark colored SUVs.

Do you need me to explain further? If so I will be around.

Nissan Maxima was always the vehicle of choice among the Southeast Asian gangbangers in Smith Hill and the West End. Lowell, MA also.

That's barely a block from where there was a shooting in August, as well as a hit-and-run in September. I'm aware that's a rough part of town, but seriously...
