The reason you're miffed is because here's a woman who, in your eyes, doesn't really have a lot going on for herself, but is barking orders like she's above you. You aren't trying to say you're better than she is, but it comes off as she's trying to say you're beneath her with her orders. You felt open to getting to know her and explore her mind and abilities, while she was looking to mark a bunch of checkmarks on her list.
I absolutely get where you're coming from, but swiss cheesing the woman race isn't going to help either. Us guys who have been through the wash, rinse, repeat cycle many times just have it harder than other people. We may find love and we may not, but nothing ever came to someone who didn't try.

And yes, this IS the essence of the modern dating scene. A woman these days who is on the same level as the guy, assumes that he should kiss her a** for a shot at the nookie. No thanks again.

No one here said "this doesn't sound that weird". They said, "don't make such a big deal out of it. Just drop her, and keep moving." NOBODY implied it's normal. It isn't normal. You're desperately trying to accuse all of womankind, and paint everyone with the same brush. We're here to tell you you're wrong. (Do NOT put words in our mouths!) Sorry you keep running into the same issue over and over, but there are great women out there. They tend not to gravitate toward cranky guys, though.

This ^^. That's what I meant about trying to accuse all women. "All the women" did not chime in at all. They agreed with you, and said you shouldn't dwell on it, and just move on. For some reason, you perceived their posts as the opposite of what they were.

I don't date, so everyone's happy. No woman is going to be burdened with dating me and my bad attitude, and I'm not going to have to deal with any woman's petty crap.
Men flock only around the top 15-20% of women. Most of the rest are invisible. Don't kid yourself.
Men don't have it much better either. The fact is, most of us have to try really hard to find AND KEEP the person we want. Gender has nothing to do with it.
