Dang - you went from stating that 60 is too young - to cremating them.
I assume you aren't being crude about it - but that was quite a pivot you did there.
I had just watched a video in Italy showing massive amount of coffins just being put in churches/buildings so it was on my mind. I don't mean to sound insensitive but if things don't look like they are goign to slow down & only get worse. Might be something that needs to be done. People who prepare the bodies have to be subject to possibly getting sick.
Israeli doctor Gai Peleg, who is currently working to save lives in Parma, Italy, told Channel 12 that things are only getting worse as the number of patients keeps growing.
As his department receives coronavirus patients who are terminally ill the focus is to allow patients to meet loved ones and communicate with them during their last moments despite the quarantine regulations. Other reports claim that, as the numbers of dead increases, some families find themselves unable to secure a proper burial for their loved ones.
Peleg said that, from what he sees and hears in the hospital, the instructions are not to offer access to artificial respiratory machines to patients over 60 as such machines are limited in number.
I'm confident in believing that certain people over 60 would have access.
I watched a video last night of a doctor in Spain crying because they had to make the decision to not allow anyone over 65 to have a respirator when a younger person needed it. All they could do was medicate the older person so they wouldn't suffer while dying. It's horrible.
Missed in all the drama was the use of the term "terminally ill" which could mean the person is already deemed terminal from some other pre-existing condition.
I would not think a person 60 years of age would automatically be deemed terminal simply because of contracting Covid-19.
Perhaps the press have taken some liberty with the doctor's quote and served up only that part serving some agenda? Just say'n.

That makes sense.
I wasn't trying to be mean - it just threw me for a loop.
