I will update a previous post: Governor Perry did visit a DPS Border Patrol facility in south Texas last month:

Gov. Rick Perry visits Border Patrol facility in South Texas, says border not secure

The article does not mention of he viewed any of the children/youths. No doubt, they would have been thrilled to see the Governor of Texas peering at them through his new glasses.

There was nothing wrong with the "Mission Accomplished " banner being in the picture.

It was about the ship......that had in fact accomplished their mission....it had nothing to do with Bush....than then the picture picked it up.

Had he an R after his name, you wouldn't even be making this thread.
LOL..I remember the bashing Bush got because he didn't go to ground zero after Katrina.

It's just natural to find fault with the other party regardless of how they act or what they do.
That's what party loyalists do..defend their guy while bashing the other guy.

D's and R's are no different..just different sides of the same old worn coin.

Great Wall of China - Facts & Summary - HISTORY.com

I had the opportunity to visit a section of the Great Wall, outside of Beijing, in 2008 (just after the Olympics). Wonderful to see.
My point is, it streatched over 3,000 miles, and it was built by convicts and soldiers....some of the wall overlapped in areas....it was started in 1368...
with our technology today, we could absolutely build it, and have it patroled, which would also create jobs....

It can be done! and it doesn't matter that it isn't one continuous wall, that is not my point, and who cares who built it, what does that have anything to do with it? We are not living in 1368 any longer.

Yes, I bet it was wonderful to see....it is what? 50 Feet high in some places?

I was NOT being a wise arse as you suggest.

You asked a question and I asked if you remembered a simular incedent.

Prisons should be providing men to build the border fence/wall. We have all these men in orison doing nothing. Put them to work, save money, and get the border secured at the same time. Oh but wait....thats using common sense. Cant have that

No doubt. However, I think the reporters need to stop badgering him about it. I saw one last night who wouldn't drop it.

The United States of American has been invaded. We had better start thinking in those terms and refrain from the euphemisms that try to cloak what is happening and turn it into something more palatable to the American people.
