Exactly, what point are you trying to make? However lifting the ban will give the average citizen to protect them self's from criminals. Like the post above me, if one or two criminals get killed in a robbery, the rest may think twice about trying to rob some one

Gun laws have little impact on crime. Whether they are lenient or strict.

Sounds like more people are defending their personal liberty now, more than ever.
Maybe if you get out of your box, you would see, it might be the criminals getting killed, during a crime.
Handgun sales in Illinois, is up 90%, for a reason.

Sure they do. Go into any mall or supermarket where it is legal to open carry. Are you going to pull your gun out and open fire there? Only if your intent is suicide you will.

Chicago has been hovering around 450-500 murders a year for about a decade now. The rate was HIGHER before that, significantly more in the 70's-early 90's.

Most guns that are confiscated came through straw purchases. Those who can legally purchase a gun can do so about as easily as ordering a cheeseburger, and those who can't (criminals) simply have the gun purchased for them. It's way too easy.

That's the only way anyone thinks they get them. Do you know how heroin and other drugs get into the country? Boats, shipping containers, etc? Guns and other weapons come in the same way to be sold on the streets. You could also buy an AK-47 fully auto over the internet CHEAP and have it delivered right to your house and nobody would know.

So now conceal and carry is not enough.

oh my...See, I knew it. You know absolutely nothing about any of this. Open carry is different than CCW!
