So you've gone from saying that you can't use a firearm to saying you can't carry one.

You're small sample size is comparing the difference between 2 years. If we compare 2008 prior to the ban being lifted and last year it went down 25%..... LOL is this that hard to understand?

Let me put this into a context easier to understand. If we had an all out weapons ban tomorrow over the next few years the murder rate from firearms would most likely increase because of the amount of firearms that would flood the black market. Over the course of the next 100 years however you will see a slow and inevitable decrease as those weapons on the black market become less available.

He was shown the overall stats, he, so far has not responded to the PDF file I provided.....

He cherry picked 1 year, from the begining, the rates have droped over 50%.....

I live in semi rural area where gun ownership per household is probably in the high 90% range. I hear gun shots frequently especially around hunting season. There is no gun violence here, none.

I don't think you can draw any conclusions from the totals, most of the gun violence in this country is criminals shooting other criminals using weapons that have been obtained illegally.

If criminals are using illegal guns, how is having a gun ban going to reduce crime?
