You can tell Gainey had nothing to do with this because they are actually trying to do something.

I really didn't want this, but he will be the worst mayor ever in our city. I was hoping not. Ah well.

im not for this.

i remember when this was enacted back in the 90s. of course, without fail, there were cries of racism. so it was never enforced.

what about kids who are actually working jobs?
i understand the carnage out there affecting people under 18 these days, but is the juice worth the squeeze here? that is a LOT of government - spending, new staff, etc. to play caretaker.

will this actually stop violence? its hard to say unless we had a Minority Report - type science, which we don't.

what i dont like about this is it does not seem to put more burden on the parents. it vilifies all youths, making them guilty without probable cause.

i might be wrong - i admit i didnt actually read the law itself. from how i understand it, i dont like a curfew and do not think it does justice to 'normal' kids, who might be working to make a living. i was one of them once....many here were. i suppose those kids can get a ride home, but what if they cant? if their parents are unable to?

This is long time DNC propaganda, fed ad infinitum to the gullible , low information morons that make up their base. That includes the current loathsome, lying puppet in the White House.

well, it seems as if we are waiting for the 'shoe to drop'.

i have always defended what seems like inaction, from any politico (democrat, republican, etc.) because i think it just takes TIME to mobilize people, to literally work the logistics to get people physically together in a meeting, to arrange schedules, to get people to call you back, etc....

but its been what now? 13 months in office? besides the gospel-preacher voice and rhetoric, is there actually something cohesive coming from Gainey? I mean, besides the usual "we gotta work togethu! we gotta help deez keeds!" that kind of usual bull.

besides Kail-Smith, im not sure anyone else is doing a damn thing. and i dont even agree with her proposals that much, but at least shes working at something, it seems.

I am for the curfew and feel the police need to be all out military style and aggressive towards the areas doing all these killings. If the communities can't control themselves with this newly found freedoms, then they should lose those freedoms. The insane violence and dangers to the kind normal law abiding people NEED to be stopped and they need to get a good old fashioned beat down and beat is the key.

There is a teen shooting daily in our city and surroundings. They ALL look the same. It has to be stopped at all costs. It has gone on too long.
