They are a hybrid of both. You can call one with an app or flag one down. The drivers rent the cars for around 800 a week included with that is maintenance and insurance but they keep their entire fare unlike uber who takes half the fare.

Thanks. Nice thing about Uber is the driver can now see the passenger prior to pick up, I believe. Any initial screening would be helpful for driver’s safety. Bad people can still get through that through, but it probably helps.

I don’t remember the quantity of today though. Just no discipline at all it seems. The kid that hurt staff smiled and stuck out her tongue at the news team. I’m sure she has a bright future. Ugh.

Can't even be a kid and ride your bike with your buddies anymore. This story was picked up by local Pittsburgh news, but this is in more detail as it shows the shooter.

The victim.

But but but he apologized and wrote a letter of apology. Loving the $2M bond and hopefully he never sees the light of day again, but I certainly wouldn’t wager on it.

There has always been more violence there, but these days it is very different. They kill anyone and everyone with no issues. They used to fear police. Not anymore. They run us all even all the way up in Sharon PA or wherever. We let this happen.

my comment wasnt any us vs. them thing, though. it is to call out the commonality of much urban crime. there HAS to be SOME discussion and solution there.

the last few years have brought about everything else - more diversity in media. much needed. check.
acceptance of gay role models, especially on broadcast tv. needed. check.
awareness of marginalized people and the abuse they take. check.

dealing with the continuous, random yet systemic events in urban crime? just more sadness, funerals for children, and the occassional candle vigil. why is the Prez not addressing this! Even Nixon was quizzed on crime in american cities. gerald ford and carter were responsive to NYC's dire need in the 70s.

do something, Joe, you ****ing idiot.
