Mayor Gainey is doing something. He's blaming the violence on guns (i.e. "passing the buck" to say "It's the fault of the Feds that Pittsburgh is so violent this year"). You could ban guns tomorrow, and Pittsburgh would still have near-daily non-fatal shootings and a weekly (or semi-weekly) fatal shooting.

The amount of guns in circulation is a huge problem. Criminal access to these guns is a huge problem. This is a USA made issue and when will it end?

When consequences for these losers actions equal harsher sentences and the death penalty. Defending and enabling criminals and crying about the police, blaming guns, and dumping these losers back on streets enables the problem to continue and get worse.
