I don't know Mayfair is split by Cottman....the part north of Cottman is better than further south down around Harbison, Tyson street area. None of Mayfair is Frankford Bridesburg bad but still north of Cottman is better..

They're still perfectly fine places to live, but these days a lot of people would rather live further out in newer communities like Northampton or Lower Makefield. I'm not implying they're decaying in any way.

I know people that live there, they haven't had any problems, boring, but cheap and relatively nice (despite the ugly houses)

My biggest issues with Philly are living within the city to me is a no go crime is high and it's expensive. There is more going on than Pittsburgh but some prefer the Burgh.
