All I can say is that I'm glad my apartment (downtown Harrisburg) includes all utilities. Air conditioning is pumping away and keeping it a cool low-70-something in here.

Yeah... my block has been nice and quiet since it began. No one wants to be outside, except me! I love the Hot Weather!

What's with the thumbs-up? This has been a dangerous heat wave for those of us who can't afford air conditioning.

It was a bad heat wave although a week of high temps isn't a month of high heat like down south. It was the month long lack of rain that made it bad. I can remember hotter summers the past 10 years or so, although we still have all of August to go. Hopefully we get more rain now so the drought doesn't get critical. Its raining now. But we need two days of straight rain or 3 or 4 inches total to make a real dent.
Maybe it was so hot that it kept people indoors and off the streets and that kept violence down. It coooled off a little and we had three murders yesterday.

For me, the "thumbs up" is because I love the hot weather because it keeps the streets clear of people...

I don't like Air Conditioning and do not have an AC.

I know it's dangerous because one of those deaths occurred in a house across the street from mine. The old man and I often greeted each other. Nice man. He had an AC but didn't put it on.

Germantown Man Dies Due To Extreme Heat

That has nothing to do with me loving hot weather.
