I'm with Calibelle on the clowns and dolls but nothing is scarier than a Nutcracker. Even the name is scary! I mean really just look at them.
Omigosh!! Those do look scary!!! What is up with freaky Christmas decorations? I mean what happened to "All is calm, all is Bright... Sleep in Heavenly Peace!"
I wouldnt be sleeping very peacefully, or Heavenly if I had those things near me!!
By the way... sorry to start a thread and run.... but I'm off for vacation for a few weeks. I guess this would be a good time to express my phobia of taking off, and landing, on the plane! CU all in 2!!

Thank God it's not only me! My family picks on me! I can't watch soldier movies (Saving Private Ryan ect...) without breaking down and crying so loud I have to leave the room, I hate spiders and moths! I only let my husband put the temp. gauge in my car to even numbers 72, 64, never 73 or 81! Yuck! And I hate saying something out loud for fear that it will happen!
For starters, I have claustrophobia, I'm arachnaphobic, and I can't stand talking to people who are close talkers (up in your face, almost nose to nose). I don't like people touching my face (that may stem from an Italian childhood though...everyone pinches your cheeks when you're a kid).
I hate clowns, don't care what kind, hate them. I can deal with them at the circus but only because it's a big crowd and there's so much going on that I don't actually have to look at the clowns. I like even #'s, when I count things out, they have to be even #'s. I have OCD when it comes to cleaning....the only thing I don't do is clean under your plate while you're eating. But if my husband puts stuff on the steps to go upstairs, I have to organize the steps so that each step has items that go together. Everything has a place in my house because of the OCD, if I haven't used it in at least 6 months....garbage (except the kids stuff, that's different). When I walk, I like people on the left, when I sleep, my husband has to be on my left if I'm on my stomach (which is weird because I've always associated the left side with being odd, the right side with being even...haven't got a clue why). I try not to step on cracks in the sidewalk (probably from childhood)...and although I don't normally put shoes on a table (sometimes my little ones do when I'm putting their shoes on) I never, ever, under any circumstances put NEW shoes on any table. If someone does, I have to jump up and move them (it's some old Italian wives' tale...bad luck or something). I make the sign of the cross when I see a funeral procession.
I cannot ride mass transit...i am afraid of buses and cabs and trains and planes. I am also claustrophobic, will not get an MRI even tho it is an open one.
Dolls with no bodies! They do this a lot with the Christmas decorations. I see a lot of Santa heads and Angel heads. It's really creepy. I know it's an inanimate object but I can't help thinking, are they in pain without a body?
My phobia: people who walk around barefoot in public.
My strange quirk: I walk around barefoot in public.
Magpies
