Jack the Giant Slayer. It was decent. Aside from the total Bechdel failure.

Live, Die, Repeat with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Extremely layered movie (like Inception) that one has to watch several times to catch all the nuances. Surprisingly original with excellent performances from both Cruise and Blunt.

Also watch Oblivion (for maybe the 5th time). Starring Tom Cruise and Olga something-or-other. She's a Russian beauty with a name I can't pronounce even when it's in front of me, so I find it hard to remember. Morgan Freeman puts in some face time too. Thought provoking and worth watching or buying, which is what we did. Get the Blu-ray extended version for all the special features available on it. It was shot entirely on location in Iceland, one of my favorite haunts, and the scenery is spectacular.

Addendum: for one of the most entertaining interviews with Tom and Olga, watch Graham Norton on You Tube for the 45 minute show. Great insights into both the movie and Tom. I must say, my impression of him as a human being has jumped several notches over the past few days, as I watched him as a guest on the 2013 New Year's Eve show, as well as the one promoting Oblivion.

Mahrie.

Muppets Most Wanted I heard it was bad and that it bombed in the theaters but it was REALLY good. It wasn't great like the last Muppet movie The Muppets but that was lighting in a bottle that cannot be captured. This movie copied memes from The Great Muppet Caper and Muppets Take Manhattan and was very meta but The Muppets were always like that and we loved them for it. I say it is worth the viewing. I am adding this to my to buy list.
