ARGO.

Excellent movie.

Spoiler
I knew that Canada went the extra mile to get 6 Americans out of Iran but I did not know that our CIA played an important part.

I have never been a fan of Ben Afleck. I didn't dislike him but rather just paid no attention. That has now changed. He was exceptional in ARGO both as an actor and as the director. His acting was so understated and yet so powerful. His facial expressions were priceless. Good job, Ben!

Citadel-A horror film from Ireland about a run down urban neighborhood, feral children and an agoraphobic protagonist. Great film.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. A bit slow and sometimes hard to follow. The La Mer montage at the end was flawless, though.

"Game Change", the story of the McCain campaign in '08 with Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson and Ed Harris. I liked it a great deal, the scene where Sarah Palin is receiving instruction on who was on what side during WW II was chilling, Moore played it perfectly, as though Palin thought there was nothing significant about the fact that a candidate for national office wasn't even clear on who the Nazis were.

Of course it is the sort of film whose merits are going to be determined more by the political affiliations of the audience members than by its quality as a movie. It is a quality movie.

Snitch Viewed yesterday a.m. Very good performances by the cast. Suspenseful story. Unexpected ending. Recommend all around.

I thought it was much better than Die Hard 5, Parker, Jack Reacher and Bullet to the Head.

I also enjoyed it more than Django.
