War Horse. Really good, old fashioned tale. Fantastic Devon countryside in the south of
England. Sad first world war scenes. Nobody does war better than Steven Spielberg.
Emotional scenes of horses forced to drag heavy artillary through mud. Young owner of
the horse searching through the horrors looking for his animal. Happy Gone With The Wind
type red skys as he returns home to his family with his horse - not a dry eye in the house!!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I definitely prefer the original. Män som hatar kvinnor is no masterpiece but it feels more authentic. This remake is just way too gloomy and dark. Rooney Mara is no match for Noomi Rapace either. Fincher: No more remakes, please!

Saw it this weekend (with my wife) - we actually liked it.

But the last we saw was The Tourist - if I could go back 24 hours, I wouldn't watch it (again).

The Iron Lady

With Meryl Streep as Marg Thatcher. While Streep was amazing as always, this movie portrayer Mrs. Thatcher in the throes of dementia....yes it addressed all her triumphs over the yrs as Prime Minister of Britain, but my goodness!!

The dementia was, IMO, a very unflattering way to portray this great lady:

While she is still alive!!
