That's the one we watched recently. We're also going to watch Kate Plays Christine, a "mash-up of documentary and drama" on the same subject. This was the first I'd ever heard of her.
The Glass Castle. I didn't like it. I think the actors were awesome, though. If the father was so brilliant, it was not conveyed very well in the movie. The movie showed only self involved parents and child abuse. I only paid $3. and that's about what it was worth.
I read the book, something has me holding back from seeing the movie and now I know why. The book didn't praise the father nor the mother, it may have been sympathetic to them and allowed that they suffered from a form of mental ills, but, I don't recall any degree of putting them on a peddle stool. Ms. Walls, loved her parents in spite of themselves, but, I do think in the book she called them on their wrongs. This was one of my favorite books, I think this movie might spoil the memory of the book, best I pass on it.
Sicario, superb, a movie I kept putting off seeing as I'm not much of a fan of movies with a drug theme, but how wrong I was. Really good on the edge of your seat heart thumping smartly done movie. I plan to watch it again.
Alien: Covenant (2017). What a snoozefest of a movie. The only redeeming features was the opening and closing scenes. I am a fan of the 1979 original and Aliens by Cameron is pretty good, too.
It Stains The Sands Red 2016
In the throes of a zombie apocalypse, a troubled woman from Las Vegas with a dark past finds herself stranded in the desert with a lone and ravenous zombie on her tail.
This was a really good movie. I highly recommend it.
