Hey, I've done what I've been told, I've believed in the science and got my vaccination as soon as I could (but without cheating). Everyone else should do the same, and we'll all be healthier. I'm not sympathetic to anyone who's dragging their feet over this. I am sorry for people who can't take the vaccine for one reason or another, but I really and truly believe that at this point, I'm not a threat to them, nor is anyone a threat to me (until the super-variant comes along that'll set us all back to the beginning). I'm eager to get rid of the masks!

That's due to the government extending the benefits. Nothing to do with masks. Do you think people who are happy to stay home and collect unemployment rather than work really care about covid rules?

It hasn't even been 4 weeks that it's been available to someone my age in MA. Again I didn't feel a mad rush to be vaccinated but I did get the first one.

I’m slightly disappointed the TSA hasn’t evolved with the CDC/WHO regarding mask compliance. Expecting sub-4-5yos to where masks continues to be a huge obstacle for those who want or need to travel with you children.

I don’t see them revising until the extended mandate expires in September.

They could reinstate the requirement to look for a job to keep unemployment.

I thought that was already a requirement? no?

We can't get anyone to apply for non-public facing, relatively isolated manufacturing jobs. We even offer a signing bonus, but can't get any applicants right now.

I can't remember the last time it was this tough to get applicants. We have such a labor shortage that the company has gone as far to ask co-ops if they wouldn't mind working on the weekends for 1.5x pay plus $100/day just to help get product out the door.

I had my first Pfizer shot last week and my second one is scheduled for the first week of June. I am looking forward to ditching the masks, which for me will probably be two weeks after the second shot. I will miss the social distancing if others decide not to do it anymore. I really liked the increase in personal space that social distancing provided.

Kinda related to covid. Has anyone else seen gym equipment prices starting to drop? It used to be impossible but I think it's starting to get back to normal. If gyms open up they'll probably have more than a home gym and seeing other people. Try as I might I wouldn't want to be in a large gym even after full vaccination.

In CT the governor is calling back state employees. If you work directly with the public it's June 1st, if you don't July 1st. Obviously CT is smaller than Mass but Governor Baker wanted a study for telecommuting.

According to this the bid went out and March 8th or so it was due and it was supposed to take two months. That brings us to about today.

RI is now looking to open up fully on the 21st of this month. Like I said smaller places and venues will open before larger. Boston doesn't open up for another 13 weeks!
