The union says the reluctant officers will simply transfer to local police departments that are more accommodating. I doubt that highly as well - the detail opportunities are much more limited and they'd have to gasp -- driver their own cars to and from work.

Kids have to wear masks through 11/1 now. Not surprised.

The side effects from the vaccine are not going to make you sick for more than a day or two, in 99++% of the cases. All well documented, don't try to misrepresent blood clots as a widespread problem.

Blood clots are actually a complication of Covid-19 infection, and are much more frequent from the virus than from the vaccine.

For example, from a new study published in BMJ: "For every 10 million people infected, there was an extra 934 cases of thrombocytopenia, according to the study. They found only 107 extra cases after the first shot of the AstraZeneca jab. For ischaemic strokes, the first Pfizer dose would result in only 143 extra cases but there would be about 1,699 extra cases for every 10 million people after infection."

My work was supposed to do some pilot thing in October where some people volunteered to go back to the office to see how things could work on a hybrid model. Today they cancelled it because of covid cases. I guess I have a very scared office. I know everyone else here has returned or never stopped going...but that's where we're at.

At my office - a small Cambridge drug company, most people don't go in. Those who do go in are strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated - but they're not actually verifying this; and we are supposed to wear masks in the office as well. I only go in one day a week and don't have a problem with these requirements.

78yo Joe Biden got his Covid-19 vaccine booster shot today on camera. There were no wild histrionics. He just got his booster like a big boy, and it was pretty uneventful. Imagine that.

So did 79-year-old Mitch McConnell. If that doesn't tell you this isn't a partisan thing, what else will?
