Two more months…Fingers crossed!

Spread aggressively through the northern US? Was he more specific? The Northeast, for example, has some of the highest vax rates in the US...not sure what would drive "aggressive" spread!

Colder weather. Kids back in school, sports. Not all of the northern US has high vax rates.

But you're not concerned about heart damage from covid? Seems very counterintuitive, IMO.

I get it, you're not going to get the vaccine and you're not going to wear a mask, regardless of what anyone says. Why keep inventing all of these excuses? Just say that you're not going to do it and be done with it. It's almost as if you're trying to convince yourself that your decision is a good one.

Kind of like opiate or heroin addicts who assume the narcan will bring them back if they OD.

+1

The anti-vaxers have been destroying our hospital infrastructure. If they test positive and get an Rx for an oral drug that keeps most of them out of the hospital, it's an enormous win.

We just got our 3rd Pfizer jabs yesterday. I should be topped up to 85% to 90% efficacy against Delta in a couple of weeks. That, combined with an oral drug that makes it unlikely I'll get seriously sick if I do contract the disease changes my life. I can go back to June and the first half of July where the mask didn't need to be part of my life and I only used it in mask-required places like airports/airplanes and health care. I sure hope this makes it through FDA approval quickly.

I don't need to convince myself . I would rather take my chances with covid than the shot.

It's now hitting northern states the hardest, as was being predicted for some time. Alaska is off the charts. Louisiana, not long ago the epicenter, is now one of the lowest cases per 100K. Connecticut currently has the lowest case count. Northern NE isn't faring as well.
