438 new cases today.

Regardless of what the reasons are these numbers just don’t seem good. Would be nice to see lower numbers

Everyone would like to see lower numbers but this is about as good as it will get for the time being. Not sure why you keep saying they are bad nearly every day, look at France or Iowa. Those are bad.

I haven’t looked at France. I recall a few weeks ago our numbers were in the one hundreds and 200s.

The other way to look at it is that 90% of deaths are in people over 65 years old in MA and nearly 1/2 of deaths were in nursing home residents. Our death rate is one of the highest in the country(world?) but if you half it we did alright!

And if we pretend it's only 1/0th of the total, it sounds even better!

I guess it would be interesting to see if other countries are getting a large percentage of their deaths from nursing homes or something equivalent.

That was essentially the news out of Italy when they were really under the heel of this thing. Multigenerational housing, the largest elderly population in Europe, etc., was highlighted as why they were being hit especially hard.

Over 1000 new cases a week. Not good. Is this why Baker activated the Nat Guard again on friday? No reason was given by his office.
