I just talked to my dad who grew up in Dorchester and is in his 70s now. He remembers the polio pandemic when he was a kid. He said he recalls not being able to leave his porch all summer one year because of it. My great aunt ended up getting polio and I’m not sure how old she was when she got it. she was my dads aunt and quite a bit older than him. I spent a lot of time with her when I was a child and one of her legs and foot was quite longer and bigger than the other. I recall as a kid one of her feet was so small that her shoe fit me. She never married but went on to be principal of a school. Just interesting to think of this now. Her family was definitely upper class but she was still a victim to polio. She was 1 of 9 kids and apparently she was the only one of all of them to get it.

Pretty much everyone out and about today where I am (and with virtually no masks). I suppose I'll be dead in 2 weeks. Nice knowing you all!

Its going to get tougher for people to wear masks, when the weather is nicer, and people become more lax with things

As a practical thing, hand hygiene is probably 10x more important than masks other than dense pack situations like airplane or subway or elevator. Unless it's a dense pack urban sidewalk, the transmission rate is really low when people are outside walking around keeping 6 feet of distance as much as possible.

I'm kind of laughing at all the companies that went open office. To control the transmission rate, it kind of needs to be cubes and walls/plexiglass up to 80".

In NYC and at the beaches in NJ (and probably many other places), people were partying like it was 2019 yesterday.

masks lower the immune system but its not because your not getting exposed to viruses its because your lowering your oxygen levels. This puts stress on your immune system.

80 percent of medical professionals got headaches when wearing masks for a long time. Your increasing your carbon dioxide level by breathing it out and the mask is trapping that co2 making you breath it in again.

good i hope people get sick from wearing masks. It is possible to get a lung infection if masks are worn long enough which has been reported by medical professionals.

A pretty impressive resume for this immuniologist.

who would know more about a immune system then a immuniolgist?
