The Indianapolis CSA includes North Vernon. North Vernon is 65 miles from downtown Indianapolis, 61 miles from downtown Louisville, and 72 miles from downtown Cincinnati. I think it is fair to ask..............who cares how many people live in the CSA?

So are you saying that you don't believe people from North Vernon flock to Indy for night life??

Try living in Illinois. You'd have to sell some of your rentals to pay the taxes there. Indiana is more affordable tax-wise.

The cost of living is cheaper overall in Indiana.

That's what traps people here in Indiana. Sure in many ways it is cheaper but as the saying goes you
get what you pay for.

I live in Tennessee now and my taxes are cheaper. No State income tax, gas is cheaper, car insurance is cheaper, but I hope to come back to Indiana when I retire.

I wish you luck key4lp, you might be surprised how much you'll miss it after you're gone.

I do wish you the best when you return. I have lived in Indiana for over 30 years & I will
say that the people are friendly but I want to go home.

If you're not originally from Indiana, I can completely understand this. I was born and raised in Indiana and lived for a while about 10 years ago in some of the most beautiful mountain areas of California but I moved back to Indiana. I heard a lot of talk about how crazy I was, but there seems to be something that drives people back home. It didn't help that I'm very close with my family, uncles, aunts, and cousins included, and they all live here.

I lived in Ohio and Missouri. I actually prefer Indiana due to having Indy, Louisville and Chicago metros as part of the state.
