Man they flamed out. Ran into the Jake Allen buzzsaw. It happens. It was still a great season.

The writing was on the wall since the beginning of March.

The trade for Hanzal wasn't needed.

Yes the Wild struggled as the season went in to the final stretch. The Hanzal deal wasn't the issue, they were just getting by prior to that.

It wasn't going to take much to knock the Wild off kilter, too much film existed to show what worked against them and yup Jake Allen was the final nail.

With the Wild out, I am on the Oilers bandwagon! I want a northern team to capture the Stanley Cup for a change!

Everyone is on the Oilers' bandwagon. Lest we forget how that franchise was run the last 10 years...I won't, and don't.

In my heart, I will admit, part of me is rooting for them, but their tank show enroute to 3 #1 overall's still doesn't sit with me.

The sad thing is that they actually had 4. Hall, Nugent-Hopkins, Yakupov, and McDavid.

Seems like we are off to a really slow start this season from the looks of it!

Seems like every year the NHL screws us around with a game or two then a week off - as if we need this big 4 day stretch of off time after the team sat around for the last 5-6 months.

As far as the play, it's ok for now. From what I've seen.

Parise still out and now Granlund out at least 4 more games with a groin. Chicago and Columbus on deck.

Winless in their first 4 looking like a distinct possibility.
