He looked good tonight. Not great, but good enough. Out of position on a couple occasions, but that's back-to-back shuttys.
He made some solid saves last night. This is what needs to happen if the Wild are to stay competitive. He needs to put them on his back like you said, and that's what he's doing right now.The challenge has been issued, and he's responding.
The Zucker goal streak is also amazing. Good to see someone stepping up and taking the reins offensively. Obviously need contributions from more than just one guy, though.
I was glad they won because the Gophers hockey team made me want to puke this weekend.
I can't see this team making the playoffs this year. Inconsistent on every level, and no true goal scorers. They're a frustrating bunch to watch. Hot and cold goaltending is not going to cut it this year especially, because the defense is worse than last years. It's just a poorly assembled team.
Well we'll see how Boudreau handles the situation and puts his coaching skills to the task.
We're honestly not even close to being able to make an assessment of where they'll end yet I don't believe because if the season ended Friday we would have made the playoffs, so I'm holding off to see how they gel now that Nino and Coyle are finally back in the lineup full time. I mean, we were basically missing one of our top 2 lines for the majority of this season up until the last several games.
In a month we will have a great idea of where we're at (assuming more injuries don't hamper it more).
Best game of the year for Dubnyk last night. If not for one of the worst "penalty" calls I've ever seen (and an ensuing PP goal) he might get a shutout. Nevertheless, fantastic game.
On the other hand, Stalock played on of the worst games of his career his last start. Man that was bad.
