A couple days ago, the crane for TCU's newest (...and only) hotel went up.

Something I just realized today, though: New Renderings.

Compared to the old rendering, you'll see that someone wised up and made the Berry St. side extend from McCart to Sandege due to the fact that it's an URBAN hotel.

Would be more so if they did something with the surface lot, but baby steps, I guess...

I have some great news to report. 1000 weatherford is back to a 17 story minimum. It also appears the city may be moving towards only allowing vertical development downtown to increase the tax base.

It's possible that it can add another two floors.

I'd love to get more into this as well as a couple other things I've heard, but my laptop is busted.

HEY LOOK... NEWS!

https://twitter.com/UrbanFortWorth/s...396006917?s=20

For the Near Southside, "Station 5" (working title?) would be a 150 room hotel near South Main St. It would incorporate the current re-used fire station incorporated as a lobby.

Currently on the drawing board.

I like it. This is the direction I want to see from Fort Worth. I understand that time has to move on and we can't save all of the past. I do want the city to continue to find creative ways to reuse historic buildings instead of tearing them down like they do in Dallas.

That's a lot of land. Any news regarding what will go there? Hopefully not poorly built apartments.

No news on that yet, just the land acquisition.

The Moon is making a comeback, setting up shop in the failed Americado building.

Slated to become a staple in "District 90".
