Well this was a surprise... (But I envisioned this for this site)

Hyatt Place/Hyatt House, 10 rooms, 240 rooms, on the current Into the West site of 2816 West 7th.

There going to need a lot more hotels in close proximity to Dickies arena. I am sure this will not be the last one announced.

Of course it wont.

The only thing that's gonna stand in the way are the museums across the street... they've already been the primary reason why two projects were canceled in that area.

I sincerely don't know is why i am asking, is the museum one of those NIMBY's (not in my backyards) and do they really have that much sway?? this can only benefit them, heck any density in the inner city is good in my opinion.

Well the owners of The Kimball pretty much scrapped the Hotel Renovo project and the owners of The Modern wasn't as cooperative for a Westin Hotel that was planned right cross University because they had complaints of "the view being blocked". Which is funny since there's an entire 7-story apartment complex just a block north of the site. Both added to the stigma that Fort Worth is extra and unnecessarily difficult on developers.

I'm much more positive on this Hyatt happening since it's on West 7th and away from the museums.

Seeing a lot of site preparation work going on by Tehama Ridge in North Fort Worth, understand that Ikea was going to go there but pulled out, any ideas what stores are going into the extension area?

Oh.

Well I'm not sure, then.

All that's really going on that I know of other than that is finishing up the AC Marriott downtown and new management with Sundance Square.
