Dinner this evening was a cucumber-tomato-feta-avocado salad along with zucchini oat veggie patties on a wheat bun with a dollop of garlic chili mayo sauce. Modello Dark beer to drink. Dessert will be Mrs B's chocolate almond biscotti with coffee.
I desperately need comfort food today ...I just had to say goodbye to my 16-1/2-year-old kitty Berkeley, whom I got when he was 10 weeks old back in 2007.
I know 16-1/2 years is a long life for a cat, but it's never enough.
I will probably just heat up one of my homemade frozen meals -- I haven't thawed one in advance but I think the microwave will be fine. I know I have some of the chicken with smoky harissa sauce ...
So sorry you lost your furry friend Berkeley, Karen. Our pets are family. My condolences.
