Dawn, when I get that malaria, there is only one proper soup to cure all that ails. With my apologies to all of the Jewish grandmothers, you must find a Thai place that delivers, and you must order Tom Yum Soup. It has vitamin C (lime) and chile (desnotting agent), everything you need right now.
I made spaghetti and meatballs plus a salad of romaine, red cabbage, celery, sunflower seeds, and sesame dressing.
Homemade chocolate peanut butter chip cookies for dessert.

Hahaha!! "when I get the malaria..." (I just snort-laughed.) Omg, I love you. My Bubby would poo poo the choice of Thai over her chicken soup but she's not alive anymore, your points are valid, and I love Tom Yum Soup. I plan to be even sicker tomorrow so that's what I'll be having, my brilliant sister.
We are having adult mac and cheese or that is what I call it cause I make it with 4 or 5 types of cheese, including blue cheese. I am adding some left over Italian sausage and a jalapeno to it. They are left overs from our stuffed squash last Sat. I will also fix a veggie salad, not just a plain green salad but one with cauliflower, peppers, artichoke hearts, pickled green beans etc. I am making some to take to a friend from church that is just getting home from a trip today and I know she will not have anything in her fridge.
