Still away in beautiful Chautauqua NY, staving a a vintage Victorian hotel that eerily reminds us of a cross between The Overlook of" the Shining" fame, and the resort depicted in Dirty Dancing. They keep us busy with classes and healing sessions, hiking, panting classes, and more.

Today was beautiful the lake was blue and the sky was without clouds.

After rushing around at this adult summer camp, we built up quite an appetite. We dined of Vegetable wraps stuffed with lettuce, baby spinach, black olives, tomatoes, hummus, cucumber, peppers, and a delicious creamy avocado pesto spread.

We split an slice of chocolate cheese cake for desert.

'busy day today: shopping day after our hour long water walking which we do a few times a week. Of course I talk more than I walk. I think dinner will be simple: probably chicken wings, green beans and either cous cous or ramen noodles. also have to use up some cottage cheese that will be growing hair pretty soon, so will probably have it with the fresh tomatoes we picked up at the farmers market last Saturday.

HAPPY MONDAY TO EVERYONE, DON'T STARE AT THE SKY WITHOUT THE GLASSES!!!

Good morning everyone. We are having a mini heatwave since Saturday lasting until tomorrow. All I wanna do is ride an inflatable slice of pizza down a 300 foot iceberg.

Still thinking what to prepare for tonight. Probably cold potato salad, tomato and onion salad, red radish salad and warm baby dill and parsley meatballs. To drink lassi or sour lemon water. For dessert plum sherbet with a hint of cinnamon.

2 cups plum puree ( either Italian plums or the round purple plums. Make sure they are all very ripe)
2 cups buttermilk ( or whole milk)( buttermilk makes it more tangy)
adjust your sugar ( we like it tangy and add only a bit of sugar)
a pinch of cinnamon ( or not)
Transfer in a covered container and store in the freezer

You can either just puree all the plums in a blender, add sugar and buttermilk and freeze Or as I do cut all the unpeeled plums in dices, put in a pot,add cinnamon and a bit of sugar and gently simmer until soft. Let cool down, transfer to blender add buttermilk and blend, pour in a container and freeze. I found another delicious way... do all of the above BUT leave out buttermilk or milk.
Delicious !

Growing up , lobsters were the. Centerpiece
Of many many family gatherings I don't eat them as often
As when younger ( I hold the family record of eating 14 )
