I am not wrong
to quote the original from a member who shall remain nameless.

"What I mean by "South Dallas" is everything south of I-30, which is pretty much a toilet."

Why would I rewrite such a masterpiece of nuance and objectivity

Nice one! There's enough ignorance in these two sentences that I could respond with a paragraph. But I'll say this: you obviously spent only enough of your 28 years in DFW to know that "it's not Houston"...

I'm hardly a snob (Plano or otherwise), but I dislike people, any people, begging on the street. Even for a worthy cause.

There are two problems with the OP - the words BELONG and WEST.
You can start the same thread by saying- anyone have a problem with the city of Plano allowing panhandling?
But to say they don't "belong" there come across very very snobby -as if there are other places they do belong. Secondly, this would be a city issue - city of Plano -last time I checked West Plano wasn't its own city.
Whilst the overall subject of your post is reasonable - your choice of words and tone may reveal more about yourself that you are willing to admit to.

I have stated on several posts that what I said is what I meant. I am STILL entitled to my opinion, like it or not. I don't want to see it in any part of Plano, but especially not the part of Plano I live in and drive in every day. You may have a problem with my statement and whatever sentiment you feel it conveys. I do not.

Debind, I think all she's trying to say is she doesn't want it where she lives, and that happens to be west Plano. The NIMBY attitude transcends west Plano; it is alive and well everywhere people live, and we are all guilty of it to some extent.

Ok, dammit, Macbeth says toilet, Jaffari says cesspool, and Grainraiser says cesspool. What is it? Can we not all agree on the proper terminology for human waste receptacles to be used as insults?
