Windsor Locks(BDL) hits 90 again. No other ASOS site in CT,RI,NH,ME,VT, or NY hit 90 today. Only 1 in NJ(Linden). BDL the new UHI?

Central Park actually came quite close at 89. In that vein I was surprised EWR was "only" 87 (unless they 'fixed' their problem LOL!)

You can feel it again today. Worse tomorrow. Maybe worse Sunday!

Danbury, CT max of 84° today so far means its first time having 84° or warmer 2 days in a row since July 22-23!
NWS seems to be showing 90 for tomorrow and Sunday now but even in the "UHI" stations 85 or below for the other days......what I'm wondering more is if August will be one of those months that was going to be below normal, but.....

(most stations were 1.5-2 degrees below normal for the month so far)

Max temps today for northeast. I see just 3 locations that hit 90 east of Ohio. Philly, Linden, Windsor Locks.

Looks like 70s/low 80s for interior. Felt like summer along the coastal plain.

Gorgeous weather this entire week for New England!

General rule is when there's the same level of surface heat around North America, there should be the same distribution of good and bad weather around the area. 5 days of perfect blue sky... How come?

That hurricane east of bermuda...is where ALLLLLL the bad weather is distributed
. It is doing us a favor and sucking up the dark clouds like a vacuum cleaner. To the West is a little frontal boundary but the hurricane is why we are in blue sky territory and high pressure for so long. In contrast, a part of the Atlantic where nobody is affected is a horror of bad weather for 2,000 miles north to south. If it were just 1500 miles west of its current location, instead of this gorgeous weather? We would be in an array of constant rain for days

Anyone catch Joe Rao (News12 Westchester) 2 part video on El Nino and what winter could be like? It was very good.

I think this was mentioned already. Farmers Almanac (an almost 200yr formula which includes sun, moon, planet alignment) came out with their winter forecast.

For Northeast

Aside from Thurs-Friday any cool downs I see in long range are getting less and less each time... I truly believe September will be warmer than normal for us..

Mugginess might be worse Sunday Monday. Hot too. No heat waves or widespread 90s but much warmer than we been.

Models differ on cold front timing Sunday but more often than not I'm seeing very warm and muggy conditions after the short 2 day break

Here's BDL Data from latest GFS.

Upper 80s and Muggy comes back! Low-mid 50s Friday-Saturday morning! Not much rain in sight
