^ That place has had a rough go ever since BW3's left many years ago. The Armadillo Grill was really good, but failed to have enough business to make it there unfortunately. I've never been in Peasants mainly because i heard the food wasn't anything special, it was more of a drinking spot. Hooters should move uptown into one of those shops under the student complex being built...they'd kill it with college kids.

The bingo joint on 10th (near Dickinson) has moved to Memorial Drive. Hopefully the downtown area is done with such places.

I'm confused, will there be retail at the base or are those white squares just a part of the design?

No retail, just a garage.

Are they not putting the clocks on the garage? I saw a couple different designs for the deck but both included clocks.
Also, I didn't realize the other Neighborhood Walmart on S Memorial would be opening that fast. But, it is open and a second left turning lane is being added on N bound Memorial to Thomas Langston Rd.

Sort of an awkward design element to say the least, but nonetheless I appreciate the changes being made to Uptown and this garage is just the beginning. Mayor Thomas has definitely done more than a great job in putting Greenville into the position of being the center of East Carolina and for that he gets my applaud.

Today is apparently the 'soft opening', the official grand opening isn't until March or so I believe once all the other exterior projects, like the clocks, the walking area, landscaping, etc are finished. At least that's what Allen had on facebook today.
