speaking of going to Raleigh. I used to book flights out of PGV whenever possible. However, during the last 4 years, I have not used PGV even once. I always drive to RDU airport. Last year alone, I took 9 trips, all out of RDU(mostly to CA and WA) Surely there are others who also prefer to fly out of RDU?
You're not the only one. I know several that drive to RDU rather than use PGV. Its a tough situation, where do you start. It shouldn't be on the passenger but it might have to be at this point.... if we want PGV to improve we need the traffic...
at my HOA meeting, we were joking that we should start a weekly shuttle van to one of the Costco warehouses in Raleigh. Apparently many of my neighbors do weekly or bi-weekly Costco hauls. I only go there maybe once every month or two.
I wish we could get a co-op or organic focused grocery store here. I make weekly trips to downtown Raleigh or to Orange County to go to a Weaver Street Market.

The Fresh Market is ass.

Pitt County has the Leroy James Farmers Market. It runs from March until December. It's hours are Saturdays from 8-1. It is located on County Home Rd right beside the animal shelter. Check it out one time and see if it has what you're looking for.
Not a fan of the aesthtics of the new businesses near Basil's. That area is just looking tacky now, especially the five minute oil change place and its signage. I don't know, it just looks out-of-place to me. Maybe it's the new trend of having tiny rectangular buildings for these new businesses that just puts me off. (Those new buildings on Greenville Blvd. near the new DD are the same style, but at least they're uniform.) Idk. It just looks convoluted to me on Firetower now, especially when driving from west towards east - it's just such a blah visual. None of it has any kind of presence at all. Can't see these type of buildings aging well...
