Maybe the OP is rich and that's why he/she created a thread about upscale shopping. If the question doesn't pertain to you, you don't have to respond. But respect the question.

You should look it up. The Rim is no where near upscale. It's all big box retail (Bass Pro Shops, Best Buy, etc.). Same with every other development he listed, save for Quarry Village and La Cantera.

lol. Yes, I am serious. The topic is actually of interest to some people, even those who really can't afford upscale shopping (like me). High end retail is often indicative of a city's overall prosperity, or at the very least can tell you which neighborhoods in a city are prospering the most. I'm not sure why the OP chose to compare Austin to Atlanta because I personally can't imagine them being very comparable. But either way, retail trends do matter to some people.

I don't see how I was disrespecting the OP's question. I made a comment about there being decent shopping that doesn't have to be upscale. How is that disrespectful? What exactly was so offensive about what I said?

La Joya and Cresta Bella are high end, The Rim has a 5 star hotel in the works, it's mixed use, so it will have it all. Tacara is another upscale development. Many of the millions of square feet is upscale, also there is the urban developments thats not Big Box.

Let's be clear here. The look is meant for it to appear "upscale" but the stores aren't. And I totally forgot what the other developments looked like, but I have read about them before. How are they progressing by the way?

Plus ,San Antonio has North Star Mall and The Shops @ La Cantera. Alamo Quarry and Lincoln Heights have some upscale stores. Alamo Quarry is not exclusivly high end though. It seems many are U.C.
