Trust me, I would probably know them. Could you list the ones Austin has that Houston and Dallas don't? Now, I do see one and that is Reuhl, but that is not much more than a Hollister. Reuhl is opening in Houston Galleria in 2009, too. That list is not much different than what is already available in San Antonio. Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta have much more.
I'm not about to go through the list and look. I was just typing in random stores and see what was their store locations. However, try "FRETTE" This will be in the first in Texas or the south for that matter.

Frette is in The Galleria (well, opening early 2009).
Well my point is still proven because Austin is catching up so what is your argument??
That Austin is not catching up to Houston, Dallas, or Atlanta. It has better shopping than San Antonio though, but those two cities are neck and neck. Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta just have much more than Austin. Austin won't get to their level. This is why the thread is horrible.

So what the hell are all those stores on that list for?? Why is Austin experincing a building boom downtown??? Why is Austin in the process of building a 1.5 billion dollar movie studio??? Your not making sense. I honestly hate Austin and find it very overrated, but the are catching up. Dallas is crumbling , Houston is building super slow and still sprawling; However, Atlanta is doing pretty good in both departments.

Seriously? Austin's building boom Downtown has come to a hault with the economic crisis, and a lot of those condo towers sit vacant. You should have said Austin experienced a building boom Downtown. What Austin built not lets Austin equate to what, half of Uptown Houston? Dallas and Atlanta are in the same boat. Atlanta's and Dallas' highrise construction has come to a hault and they both overbuilt during this economic cycle and have condo towers sitting vacant. Houston is different. Houston builds with the market, so Houston doesn't have many vacancies, but that also means you don't have shiny new (but empty) skyscrapers to look at.

Houston is experincing the same thing with some of it's new lofts and condos as well.
What a joke. Atlanta easily. Austin beats Savannah.
