LOL........It is true that if scripture, then it is right but must put in the correct context. What verse is that so I could look at it please? theology 101, never take sound bytes, read the verse before and the verse after, even better read the whole chapter.

I don't how you got that Jesus only opened His mouth during parables but Yes He spoke in parables because (1) Judgment. (Mark 4:11, 12 (http://www.mun.ca/rels/restmov/texts/rboll/lom/LOMR07.HTM#Mk4_11-12 - broken link)). (2) Mercy. (Mark 4:33 (http://www.mun.ca/rels/restmov/texts/rboll/lom/LOMR07.HTM#Mk4_33 - broken link)). Strong light hurts weak eyes. It would only cause them to stumble. (1 Cor. 3:1-3 (http://www.mun.ca/rels/restmov/texts/rboll/lom/LOMR07.HTM#1Co3_1-3 - broken link)).

Matthew 13:34-35
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: 35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Psalm 78:1-2

1 Maschil of Asaph.
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

Let's suppose for a moment that hell does not exist and the universalist is correct.....well.....nothing is lost because they believe "all" will be saved anyway irregardless of "one's beliefs" and "behaviours".....BUT.....If they are wrong and Hell does exist....then the consequences are eternal punishment and separation from God.....It would be far wiser to REPENT NOW and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and tell others to do the same.....nothing is lost in erring on the side of being humble and repentant NOW.....All is lost if universalists are WRONG.......the wise man will REPENT TODAY..&..Accept Jesus Christ today....don't risk your eternal salvation........Universalism is at best a very dangerous assumption......but what it really is a false doctrine from the pit of Hell.....this will be my very last correspondence on this matter......Regards to all....and may God lead us in Truth

(sigh)

Why do people keep saying we think it doesn't matter what people do/think/believe? Hasn't your heart been changed? Think God can't do it for others?
