Good luck Home.
I hope it resolves soon, and fairly.
I tried to leave my personal opinions out of my post because my first reactions was probably the same one you had when you woke up to see those pillars.
I went to 11Alive and Channel 5 "post a story" forum and have been in contact with Sean Hoder as well as called Clark Howard over and over yesterday.. right now I have my driveway up so all can see how her car is stuck. I am at REMOVED - do NOT post your addresses in the forums, please!. My attorney told me this morning she is going to try and call again and send off a demand letter. My gut feeling is that their law firm, removed - do not name names: advised them to place the concrete pillars on my driveway then after my attorney called them advised them to remove them and the president here has refused. I think it is pride because he told me to my face it would cost me $300 at my cost to have them removed to get her car out then placed back on. O can't tell you how I am so appreciative of everyone and I want to be role model for others, I feel that. I was wrong for falling behind and shame on me for that but was ready to make monthly fees above the normal association fee to come correct. But these HIGH attorney fees and the fact that my wife is BLOCKED IN is just insane. I will die financially and sink deeper.

How did they put the pillars there? I don't understand why the police can't help. They aren't dealing with this situation properly or professionally. Good luck and keep us posted.

I believe he said earlier that the HOA technically owns the driveway and can do with it as they please. I've never lived in an HOA so I don't know if that's common or not.
I bet if your driveway started to crack and look dingy, they'd be on your case about getting it repaired at your own expense, though...
I just found this: Clark Howard Consumer Action Center at 404-892-8227.
yes - tried to get thru to Clark Howard - just was busy all day. Did speak to their volunteer staff and they suggested I call into the show. UPDATE - the team at 11Alive just called... They may be out here within the next hour.
11Alive is on their way over... Spoke to Bill Liss -
