So happy this is finally being resolved, as others have said, it never s/h happened (what were they thinking - ?!), hopefully they'll rethink their 'policies' soon and no other homeowner will have to go thru this.

Amendment - this is not over. They maybe getting my wife's car out, from what I am hearing tomorrow around 2, but they plan to place the blocks right back on until the entire bill is owed (over 5k). They claim I still have egress and ingress by being able to walk too and from my house. We will have the freedom to work which is great - just have to walk a quarter of mile to the next complex over to get to our cars. And I will be making arrangements to catch up on the special assessments and paying their attorney fees, which I thought I was doing already by paying the extra $100 a month - but I will be going to magistrate court as soon as I get advised too and fight like a man possessed to recoup this week of total hell.

What is the point of that? So you can't park in your driveway? I know I would be motivated to pay the bill more if I couldn't park in my driveway or garage. They have got to be the dumbest people ever!! They would have saved so much money just placing a lien on your house than going through all of this. All I can say is that I am grateful that my HOA experiences have been positive for the most part. Sure, you get the stupid politics and conflicts sometimes but all in all they just want the neighborhood to be a nice place to live. I hope that the reporters get back to you and sort this all out. This process shouldn't be this difficult.

If a resident can't pay their dues, they can either come up with a payment plan with said resident to recover as much if not all of those dues without the additional costs of an attorney, or they can place a lien on your home with the assistance of an attorney. Piece of cake. Oh well, in the end I guess they will be the ones embarrassed by all of this. They should be ashamed of their lack of common sense.

Just learned my segment IS going to air tonight, spread the word. Please support Bill Liss and Channel 11 and champion their station. Bill has been with me all day - keeping me posted, and at one point had me cracking up. I will be busy escorting my wife around town - please send me a link if shows up online.

Im glad they are letting you get the car out. Them putting the blocks back is crap though.

Since its a civil thing and the police cant do anything, Id get the engine hoist and move the blocks every day. Its a bit of work, but its not letting them win

Now, since they are preventing your car from getting to your garage, will they be responsible for any theft or damage from being forced to park elsewhere?

If you have a copy of your deed, there should be all the details explaining egress and ingress under the property easements section. egress and ingress does not mean just walking. They took a area which its sole purpose is to get a car from point a to b. They may have the rights to use it for certain things, but to demand payment, I doubt thats in the agreement.

Hey, that's a thought.....perhaps his attorney could send a certified letter to the HOA advising them that they will be held responsible.

LEXINGTON CROSSING update - Just a friendly update on the latest drama here in Sandy Springs. I came home today to find that the HOA must have ordered the trash company to not take my trash away. So now I have a big stinky pile of rotting trash in my garage, right next to my WIFE'S CAR. Let's see if they come tomorrow and remove these pillars. According to their attorney they will tomorrow - but no calls to arrange a time or anything. God - I hope I am here when they come so I don't miss this small window - have to free the car.

The segment aired today on 11Alive - however I did not see it.

I haven't read every post here, but if I were your attorney...This has the potential to get nasty. This being a public forum that anyone can be a part of, I would be careful what details and/or innocent threats you make online, till it is completely resolved.

Thanks and dully noted. That was not a threat at all - but I did go in and edit that just in case, I don't want to mis-speak. But yea, I can see where the things I might say may come across that way considering the situation. I was just saying that I hope I am here when they came to remove the pillars. Because I have to take my wife everywhere and the fact that they have not called to arrange any time to meet with me I was saying how i hope to GOD I am here so I can pull my wife's car out. BELIEVE ME.
