I'm one of those people who, once I find a place I like, I keep going there over and over again. It doesn't help when friends come into town, either because I'm stuck taking them to places that I love, but that I've eaten at 100 times lol...

So here are some of the spots I like to go to and why...maybe you can help me out with some new places or "hidden gems" I should try...?

-Top Spice: Simply love their panang curry chicken, and it's affordable with great service and usually no wait!

-Tamarind Seed: I just happen to love their pad thai and the outside seating. Price is okay.

-West Egg cafe: Has the best red velvet cupcakes pretty much, and I'm a dessert fanatic.

-Twist: Maybe not the "best" food, but has a great variety and is decent for people watching. So I feel like it's a good weekend spot to take my out-of-town friends to. On the flip side, it can get quite loud here, and I've had bad service at this place before.

-Cafe Sunflower: Their "sesame chicken" is light but satisfying. Pricing is okay. Atmosphere is nice and usually there is no wait, and it's usually not crowded.

-Busy Bee Cafe: Just the best soul food I've had here, and the price is great in my opinion. Not the best atmosphere, and can get crowded because it's so small on the inside.

-Whole Foods: The Briarcliff one is closer to where I live but the Buckhead one is my fave, although I like both. I eat dinner off the hot bar there sometimes, and really like their cookies and mini key lime tarts.

Okay...I could go on but I need some suggestions for new places to try please!

The Colonnade, on Cheshire Bridge. Old school Southern, with something for everyone. Some of the waitresses have been there for years, and friends from the north & west are usually blown away by the whole experience (in a very good way).

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. Little bangkok thai & chinese cuisine - Home The parking is horrible during lunchtime as the parking lot next door is only available to them after 5 or so.

It is. I used to go there a lot, but I don't have the pleasure of eating there very often any more. It's a very quiet restaurant. Not a particularly good place to take kids.

It IS. Very good, as a matter of fact.

As are all of the suggestions you're receiving.

It is a little bit hard to find. Located just off Cheshire Bridge--more toward Ansley Mall than Piedmont. There are perhaps 2 or 3 little shops in this strip. IIRC, it has been a favorite spot for several decades. I think you would like it.
